Description:

This educational site is centered around the family life in Illinois from 1700 to the present. Separated into six time segments, you have the opportunity to meet real people and share in their decision making. You are given a description of a situation the person is facing and then have the chance to select the choice they should made. Because these are reflect choice of real people, if you select the wrong choice you are told why the person did not make that choice and allowed to select another choice.

How You Can Use This Source:

  • Help Olivier Daniel who just arrive to Illinois Country in 1725 find work.
  • William and Vera Dellert need to decide which mail-order house to buy in 1920.
  • Esther Hunn is 83 and needs to decide whether she should she move to a small apartment, a trailer in Florida, or stay in the big home she has lived in for most of her life.
