Gravity has always been around on the earth, but people didn't begin to understand it until the 16th century. At this site, you can find out how early scientists like Galileo and Newton learned about gravity and how more modern scientists like Einstein and Hawking have further explored the subject. In this site, there are three levels of exploration. Start with the introductory section and work your way up to more advanced concepts. (Some of the concepts get rather advanced!)

How You Can Use This Source:

Learn about Newton's Laws and Kepler's laws and use them to work some problems. You can enter your answers at the web site and have them checked.
If you get stuck on a problem, you can email the author for assistance.
