As stated in the research section, To Market, To Market takes a different approach to learning the number system. Although the outcomes are the same as with a traditional math approach, the process of getting to those outcomes is different. The students start with their intuitive sense of bigger and smaller and their visual sense of number. They start with big numbers. From these intuitive and visual underpinnings, students build the structure of the number systemfirst by just being exposed to the numeral that represents a set, and eventually to using that numeral to solve the problem.
